Endlich mal ein Vogue-Cover bei dem man einfach nicht weggucken kann. Das fulminante Orange-rot sieht in reality aber eher Pink aus. Trotzdem, die Harmonie zwischen Look (Kleid von Chanel) und dem ätherischen Abend(oder Morgen?)-Licht ergibt eine geniale Komposition. Besonders gelungen ist der sensible Mix aus zarter, femininer fast Bottichelli-hafter Eleganz und den ultra-glamourösen Hollywood-Wellen.

Der Amerikaner Terry Rodgers ist einer der aufregensten Maler des internationalen Kunstbetriebs. Seine riesigen Ölgemälde zeigen hedonistische Orgien, wie sie im Schlafzimmer von Silvio Berlusconi hängen könnten. Die Protagonisten inszenieren sich als pralle, erotische Luxusobjekte. Sie zelebrieren ein "Stilleben der Verlockung". Doch niemand lächelt und scheint den Anderen wahrzunehmen: Es herrscht der pure Narzissmus. Hinter der geschönten Fassade verbergen sich Abgründe menschlicher Selbstsucht und Ignoranz. Rodgers sieht sein Sujet als eine Art "After-Party"-Katerstimmung. Er zeigt den Sittenverfall der westlichen Welt, einer Welt in der bei all der Lust nach Sinnlichkeit und Narzissmus, für innere, moralische Integrität kein Platz mehr ist.

For a few weeks Marilena and Isabel from http://impressionsforbreakfast.blogspot.com/ asked me wether I could draw a Header for them. Of course I could. You can see the result on the top.
